Being a Video Editing Trainer, I am at the crossroads of two things I love the most: creativity and technology, where unedited footage becomes a powerful story. A personal interest in the editing process has led to a full-fledged career. I always wondered how some cuts, transitions, and colour options could evoke emotion, enhance the meaning, and create a lasting impression on a viewer.
Now I make a specificity of moulding random clips into continuous stories. Regardless of a short film, a corporate explainer, a social media ad, or a YouTube video, my job is not just to cut scenes, but to choose impactful moments, add visual effects, sync sounds, and create a rhythm and an emotion of the whole thing.
My main software is industrial standard software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve. Whether it is handling raw footage and creating timelines or colour grading, motion design, and layering sounds, I like to discover the creative possibilities of each tool without losing the storytelling structure and its natural progression. I am also proud of developing my personal approach to editing - a mix of a storytelling instinct, technique and a visual sense.
Video editing is an art and a problem-solving. Each edit brings a new problem: an excessive transition, bad lighting, or an embarrassing pace. However, it is at such instances that creativity excels. I re-edit scenes, refine sequences and experiment until the final cut seems strong and finished.
In the future, I hope to create a great collection of works comprising brand commercials, motivational stories, and short films that touch the audience. I would like to work with other ingenious people, enjoy and learn with others, and jointly make a difference, creating memorable content.
Video editing to me is not a technical trade only--but brings ideas to life, stirs the heart and calls others to action. And I am happy to be a small but significant part of making those stories come to life.
