Sahil Malhotra

I’m currently working as a content writing intern at a tech startup that provides SaaS solutions for small businesses. As someone who enjoys writing and is gradually getting deeper into the IT field, this internship feels like the right balance between my creative side and my growing interest in technology. My main responsibility is to write blog posts, landing page content, and product descriptions that are clear, engaging, and easy to understand—even when the topic is technical. When I joined, I wasn’t fully confident in my ability to explain things like cloud integrations or API functionality, but with research and feedback from the team, I’ve been able to improve steadily. To start the day, I first go through the content calendar and do some research on the topic that’s been assigned. Because many of my articles are meant for those who are not computer experts, I need to ensure the words I use are understood and correct. I handle text improvements using Grammarly and Hemingway, and today I am trying to learn keyword placement and writing meta descriptions. Now and then, I ask the developers or product managers to explain the functions of a feature before I write about it. Being in these meetings taught me how to clear up technical understandings and manage not to lose the details of what I communicate. For instance, I just finished an article on how the company uses technology to handle invoices. Based on the input of the developer, I made the process clearer by showing that it helped the user by decreasing the time needed and errors. I take part in reviewing and editing the articles available in our help centre. Such procedures need to be clearly outlined and explained one step at a time. It is not the same as blog writing, but it is making me feel more confident in writing technical documents. Initially, my work depended greatly on making use of reference articles. Now, I manage to describe ideas using both visual tools and wording that focuses on the user. I have found that technology writing is most effective when it clears up a reader’s confusion rather than using fancy vocabulary. I was surprised by how many people I work with. I have to revise my content many times with the SEO team and designers involved. My experience in these interactions made me learn to be open to feedback and keep the readers’ aims in view when creating content. For my outreach, I occasionally post messages on LinkedIn about newly learned things. Furthermore, I’m thrilled to read and write about digital marketing developments. This platform offers a fantastic way to express and share my knowledge! This internship is helping me develop the habit of thinking like a user while writing for a technical audience. I’m learning to be accurate, concise, and purposeful with every sentence. Over time, I hope to become a full-time technical content writer, and maybe even explore UX writing or product content roles. For now, I’m just focused on becoming a better writer—one article at a time. #ContentWriting #TechWriting #SaaS #DigitalMarketing #ContentCreation #TechStartup #BlogWriting #SEOContent #TechnicalWriting #ContentStrategy #WritingInternship #ContentMarketing #KeywordOptimization #UserFocusedContent #ContentEditing #LinkedInNetworking #WritingJourney
