I am a freelance video editor who helps small brands, YouTube personalities, and startups develop their way of presenting videos. In college, I began to make short videos about my travels and the events going on at my campus. What started as just a hobby has led to more work and challenges in the form of regular editing projects that still push me to learn new skills. Depending on what kind of project it is, I mainly work with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Most of the time, I start by organizing my clips, cutting down all the unnecessary parts, making sure the sound matches the video, and finishing by including transitions, coloring, text, and effects. I turn to Audacity to get rid of background interference and change the volume of parts of my narration. Recently, I’ve been handling the editing process for a podcast channel which releases new episodes every week. I have learned to be especially careful with my pace and present my story in the best way possible while working on this project. Episodes need a good mix of quality presentation and fresh concepts, for example, adding careful movements and titles so that viewers stay interested. It is important to mention that time management has become one of my biggest lessons. Most of them ask for fast results, motivating me to cut down my process by using templates and special computer keys. I also ensure that I have a calendar outlining the updates and when they need to be done. Another important skill I’ve learned is working together with others. On a routine basis, I work alongside content writers, social media managers, and voice artists. I regularly get to interpret ideas from clients that aren’t clear and make them look professional and meaningful. Good communication and an effort to correct until I am satisfied have made me trustworthy and helped me keep repeat clients. In the time I’m not editing for clients, I go online to boost my abilities in color grading, sound design, and typography. I also enjoy exploring and writing about new tech trends. I’m glad that CBitss provides this platform to share my insights and connect with others! In the long run, I want to expand into storytelling-heavy formats like short films or documentaries. For now, I’m focused on sharpening my eye, improving my speed, and delivering clean, compelling edits that meet each client’s unique vision. #VideoEditor #FreelanceEditor #PremierePro #AfterEffects #ContentCreation #StoryThroughEditing #WomenInTech #YouTubeEditing #ClientWork #EditingWorkflow #ColorGrading #SoundEditing #MotionGraphics
