I’m currently gaining data analytics knowledge in order to switch from commerce to technology fields. I started to care about data during my friend’s internship because I realized it gave tremendous insight from the figures we see. Since that moment, I have been putting in effort to develop the skills for being a data analyst. At present, I am studying Excel, SQL, and Power BI by attending online courses and doing practical exercises. I started out in Excel and familiarized myself with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and how to clean data. After that, I started SQL and understood how to retrieve and filter information from different sample databases with the help of queries. I do my practice with SQL problems found on HackerRank and W3Schools. Power BI is a tool that has excited me a lot. I have made dashboards for imaginary projects by using sample data for e-commerce sales and employee productivity. One reason I like storytelling with data is that it helps anyone gather insight into current trends and problems without any extra effort. One of the best things I have learned is to design visuals that carry meaning and not just appear as decorations. I have engaged in little projects to give myself a realistic experience by getting data from websites such as Kaggle. As part of my work, I reviewed the way movies were rated and how much money they made at the box office. This experience allowed me to clean up large datasets, sort them into categories, create useful insights, and decide which music genres did well during different seasons. Besides the technical aspects, I’m trying to enhance my ability to read and explain data. I have come to see that learning about the data’s circumstances is just as vital as using simple math. I always work to make sure my descriptions of the graphs or metrices are easy to follow. Exploring and writing about new technology inspires me. I’m excited to have this space to share my thoughts and knowledge freely! Eventually, I want to work in a data-driven environment—maybe in marketing analytics or HR analytics—where I can help teams make informed decisions. But for now, I’m focusing on getting my foundations strong, creating a small portfolio of projects, and staying consistent in my learning journey. #DataAnalytics #SQLLearner #PowerBI #WomenInTech #BeginnerDataAnalyst #LearningByDoing #KaggleProjects #DataVisualization #ExcelSkills #StorytellingWithData #AnalyticsCareer #UpskillingInTech #TechTransition #DataAnalysisIndia #AspiringAnalyst
