Mehar Mittal
I am an eager and inquisitive graphic design intern who is just getting acquainted with the world of visual storytelling, which is bright and exciting. I started my adventure with design because of my passion for art and everything connected with aesthetics and the ability of visuals to change our emotions, thoughts, and behaviour. As an intern today, I am absorbing all the chances to learn, develop, and expand in this constantly advancing industry. My background is in media and communication, where I first learnt about Adobe Photoshop within a college assignment. A mere poster design project soon evolved into an interest in layout, typography, and the theory of color. I also understood that design went beyond making things pretty, but was a way of communicating, clearly and creatively. The thought of that pushed me to train as a graphic designer formally. I am currently on an internship at a creative agency, and I am working on live projects with the support and guidance of senior designers. Each day brings something new: creating social media graphics and web banners, as well as making branding materials, such as logos, brochures, and mock-ups. I have been able to work with such instruments as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma, and even do a little motion graphics with After Effects. One of the things that I have learned during this internship is that good design is not only about what a design looks like, but strategy, balance, purpose, and above all, user experience. I have studied to act according to the brand specifications, to accept criticism gracefully provided by the clients, to work through numerous revisions, and to observe the deadlines without affecting the creative process. The lessons are making me a more professional and well-rounded designer. Its creative freedom and the ability of visuals to narrate a story are my favorite things about it. It can be a minimalistic and clean design, or it can be an experimental and bold design, but in any case, the design can attract attention and deliver a certain message without using words. That is the thing that keeps me motivated. Outside of the office, I like to peruse design trends on Behance and Dribbble, follow design influencers, and do passion projects to add to my portfolio. I also love to make digital illustrations and try new techniques in order to master my own personal style. Although I remain in my early stages, I am excited to keep learning, in particular, more about UI/UX design, branding strategy, and the psychology of design. I would also like to become a full-time designer in the future and collaborate with the brands that prioritize creativity and design thinking as one of their foundations. This internship remains only my point of departure, yet it has already brought me clarity, confidence, and a great sense of purpose in this sphere. I think that through practice, teamwork, and wondering, I will keep developing and contributing to my designs. #GraphicDesignIntern #DesignInProgress #AdobeCreativeSuite #VisualStorytelling #InternshipJourney #DesignStudent #CreativeProcess #FigmaDesign #IllustratorLove #DesignIsThinkingMadeVisual #PassionForPixels #FutureDesigner #BrandingBasics #TypographyMatters #InspiredByDesign
