Drishti Roy
I am a UI/UX Design Intern, and I am thrilled to be where creativity, psychology, and technology meet. I am responsible for creating digital experiences that are not only aesthetic but also functional, accessible, and humankind. I began exploring the UI / UX design, waiting to know the answer to the question of how human beings interact with technology and what makes a digital product delightful, intuitive, and straightforward to understand. My choice to go into this field was based on the fact that I enjoy finding solutions to challenges based on design and turning random, complex thoughts into simple, beautiful solutions. I am still learning and building my user research, wireframing, prototyping, and UI design abilities as an intern. I have skills in creating low-fidelity prototypes to rapidly visualise ideas and get feedback on them, and developing them into pixel-perfect UI screens. Figma, Adobe XD, and Photoshop are my toolbelt and allow me to implement my ideas. I am also concentrating on learning the basics of user-centred design, including how to run interviews and surveys, create user personas, and journey maps. This is my attempt at designing solutions to actual problems and making the experience better and enjoyable by dressing myself in the shoes of the user. I am interested in typography, colour theory, spacing, and iconography - I like that these elements are united and create a meaningful and goal-oriented UI. This knowledge is represented in my increasing portfolio, where I have included small, yet well-developed projects, such as the design of a food delivery application UI or a prototype of a health tracker, among others, all of which have contributed to honing my abilities. I am also gaining a sharp awareness of Design Thinking, Information Architecture, as well as Usability Principles. Through my internship, I have been introduced to positive criticism meetings, working with engineers and stakeholders, and going through the process of creating under constraints and guidelines that are an essential part of real-world designing. Working with a team has made me realise the strength of communication and iterative design. It is not a lonely procedure; it is more of sharing the ideas, getting the concepts approved, and improving the designs depending on the response. I am also learning to welcome constructive feedback and regard it as one of the major opportunities to improve. I want to understand more about Design Systems, Interaction Design, Microinteractions, and Animations as a UI/UX Design Intern and make my prototypes more valuable and three-dimensional. In the future, I want to create a good portfolio of effective designs, get a full-time job as a UI/UX designer, and have a tangible impact on the world around me through my work, e.g. by designing an app that manages medication intake with ease or some kind of financial tool that would allow people to keep track of their spending without a second thought. To me, design has always been about people and making their everyday digital interactions better and more effective, so I can hardly wait to see what this adventure will bring me. #UIDesignIntern #UXDesignIntern #DesignThinking #Prototyping #Wireframing #UserExperience #UserInterface #DesignMatters #DesignForPeople #DigitalDesign #DesignPortfolio #FigmaDesign #AdobeXD #DesignJourney #DesignToSolveProblems
