Design can be quite eloquent without words, making an idea into a feeling, a story, a movement. Being a person who just starts exploring this world, I am eager to discover how potatoes, colour, texture, and coml̥position can convey messages in such an understandable and impressive manner. I got into graphic design out of a mere interest in understanding how the imagery that surrounds us everywhere, in the form of logos and posters, on social media, and in the news, affects our thinking and choices. I also desired to transition from the state of a passive consumer of these designs to the person who can innovate and create myself. Nowadays, I am practising in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma, studying how to make an aesthetic and functional combination. I am looking at basics, colour theory, typography, layout, and balance, and how all these things work together to create a solid, unified element of communication. Each new tool I acquire seems to me like getting a new colour in my creativity palette. Whether I am creating a logo 100 per cent out of nothing, a social media graphic, or a portfolio piece, I am pushed to think differently, visually solve problems, and tell stories using my designs. I am not afraid to make mistakes as a learner; on the contrary, I consider them an essential element of the process. Every unsuccessful trial leads me an inch closer to figuring out what does and does not work, and motivates me to give it another go with a renewed mind. And it feels so good when it begins to come together, when my thoughts are in some way giving back to people what they have seen expressed. I also have a growing appreciation of what it means to be a designer, beyond making things pretty, but working out solutions, conveying messages efficiently, and reaching an audience. Whenever one is designing a small business, non-profit organisation, or even a personal portfolio, the motive is to come up with something that will make a difference. I look forward to exploring more complex practices - 3D design and motion graphics, UI/UX - as I develop and evolve to extend my creative possibilities and become a more adaptable designer. In the future, I want to create a portfolio that would show my distinct style, find some freelance work, and eventually make this passion my successful profession. Design is an influential message - a method of communication, convincing, motivating, and innovating. I am a learner, and I am glad to be on this journey, building my skills, discovering my creativity, and watching where it will lead me. #GraphicDesignLearner #DesignJourney #Photoshop #Illustrator #Figma #Typography #ColorTheory #VisualCommunication #DesignThinking #CreativeExploration #PortfolioDevelopment #DesignPassion #DesignYourFuture #LearningByDoing #DesignMatters
